Tabula is free to read. It is funded by classroom packs, the edition and sponsorship from museums, libraries, learned societies and education publishers.

Editorial-independence policy

1. Sponsors never review, approve or influence content, before or after publication.
2. A sponsor is credited with one line on the home page footer or on a sponsored tour. There are no logos inside stories.
3. Sponsorship never changes which discoveries are told, how they are framed, or what status they are given.
4. We do not accept sponsorship from pharmaceutical or medical-device companies.
5. Corrections follow the same public process whoever reports them.
